To completely break the central city urban traffic congestion problem, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province recently held a seminar on project feasibility of city rail transit project forum, launched the feasibility study of the city center urban railway transit project .

According to the design units recommended program: two rail line for the tram line.

The meeting agreed that the engineering project meets the reality of Dazhou, the higher possibility of landing. Currently, the project is still under review, and is expected to be approved in early December .

▍To plan two rapid rail transit

In the early days, Dazhou made a basic planning and design for the development of urban rail transit. Plans rail transportation as the backbone, the ground bus as the main body, to meet the long-term development of Dazhou, fit in the landscape characteristics of the city,adapt to the engineering conditions of the topography of the modern tram project.

Project design unit through the early stage of the investigation and demonstration of the city believes that the current urban rail transit lines can be recommended for the implementation of line 1, line 2 .

Line 1 recommended program

Total Line length is 9.07km, elevated line is 4.83km, ground line is 4.24km, total 16 stations, with an average station spacing is 570 meters, among of  7 ground stations , 9 elevated stations , From Dazhou train station, stop Phoenix Bridge south, line pass by  Chaoyang Road, Jinlong Avenue, Phoenix Road, Chaoyang Road, Tongchuan road to the east ring road. In the Phoenix Bridge south, the east side of the river has the tram parking lot.  

Line 2 recommended program

Total line length is 11.10km, the whole line have  15 stations , with an average station spacing is 778m, among of 3  ground stations , 12 elevated station which including 1 transfer station, :Line 1 terminal station can transfer to line 2 . Start from Phoenix Bridge south, river east coast, line 1 end to mingrenyuan middle school  station, stop Yang Ping road. The line pass by  east ring road , sanliping street, huashu south road ,huashu north road , west ring road , Chaoyang west Road, Jinlong Avenue, golden hill road to Yang Ping road. Line 2 will Share tramcar  parking lot and vehicle base with line 1.

Line 2 connect line  1 from the starting point of a new trade city station, after that the elevated line along the Phoenix avenue to the southeast ,driving to the Phoenix avenue and Chao yang Road crossing , direct to ice river middle road ,across the red flag bridge,it also cross elevated on staircases and residential buildings , across zhou river into tongda west road , along tongda west road to connect with the line 2  in Shu Hua Road.
